He was one of the most important Jazz trumpet players, a pioneer of the flugelhorn in swing and bebop, bandleader, composer and educator. His warm sound and ability to reach an incredible rich range of nuances only with his lipps (without valves) influenced Miles Davis and in addition numerous other trumpet players. Clark Terry was a close friend to Hans Zurbrügg and Marianne Gauer Zurbrügg.

The Suite is decorated with Clark Terry’s very personal objects and thus provide a unique experience for guests. Clark Terry personally selected all objects for this Suite, his own painting, signed music sheets and photos with Bill Clinton, Ella Fitzgerald and happy moments during International Jazzfestival Bern.
