Luie Bellson, the great American jazz drummer (born Luigi Paulino Alfredo Francesco Antonio Ballassoni) invented the use of double bass drums. He is without a doubt one of the most important drummers and composers in jazz history and wrote the tune: “Bern Baby Bern”.
